Our Story

How it started

Corcrá Açaí was founded by Marcelo and Daire — two entrepreneurs based in Ireland who saw a gap in the açaí market and decided to approach it differently.

While travelling in Brazil, Marcelo introduced Daire to açaí as it's experienced locally — simple, fresh, and full of flavour.

 

What we found available elsewhere was often very different: diluted, overly sweetened, and inconsistent in quality.

Finding the right partner

We spent time in Brazil meeting producers and learning how high-quality açaí is grown, handled and prepared at source.

 

From this, we identified a certified organic processor in Pará that matched our standards and shared our commitment to responsible sourcing, sustainability and local community support.

Bringing it to Ireland

Together, we focused on developing products using high açaí content, lower sugar and minimal ingredients — built around flavour, consistency and nutritional value, supported by direct sourcing in Brazil and cold chain logistics into Ireland.

 

The result is a reliable supply system designed to deliver a consistent product and support long-term growth.
