How Much Does Wholesale Açaí Cost in Ireland?

It's one of the first questions food businesses ask when considering açaí — and it's the right question. Understanding how wholesale açaí is priced, and how to think about cost per portion, will help you work out whether it makes sense for your menu before you commit to anything.

Here's how to approach it.

Wholesale açaí is priced per unit — but margin is made per portion

Wholesale açaí is sold by the tub or box — 5KG sorbets, 4.5KG cubes, 20KG soft serve. The unit price is what you pay. But the number that actually matters for your menu is cost per portion.

A 5KG tub of Corcrá açaí sorbet yields 25–33 portions at a standard 150–200g serving size. That means your cost per bowl is your tub price divided by the number of portions you get out of it. The more consistent your portioning, the more predictable your margin.

Getting that number right before you set your menu price is straightforward — and it's something we can help you work through when we come to visit.

Açaí content drives value — not just price

Not all wholesale açaí products are the same price, and not all of them contain the same amount of açaí. Some products are built with a lower açaí content and compensate with added sugar, fillers, or flavourings. They may come in at a lower unit price — but the flavour is weaker, the colour is lighter, and your customers notice.

Corcrá sorbets and soft serve are made with 66% organic açaí ingredients. That's a high content relative to most category alternatives. A denser, richer product means better flavour, better colour, and a bowl that justifies a strong menu price.

When you're comparing wholesale açaí options, look at the açaí content percentage alongside the unit price. A product with higher açaí content at a slightly higher unit price will often deliver better value per portion — and a better product for your customers.

The other costs worth factoring in

Unit price and portion yield are the two main numbers. But a few other things are worth factoring into the full picture:

  • Consistency — a product that varies batch to batch creates waste and inconsistency on the menu. Consistent product means consistent yield and predictable margins.

  • Supply reliability — stock gaps cost you more than a slightly higher unit price. Knowing your supplier can deliver consistently through peak demand matters.

  • Menu support — a supplier who helps you build out the menu, get portioning right, and train your team reduces the time and cost of getting açaí onto your counter and working well.
